APC Overnight sold lost X-Ray equipment in which bag contained information regarding delivery from Pinehill Hospital in Hitchin to The Woodland Hospital Kettering.
There was no reason for APC Overnight to sell this equipment when they could have contact either hospital.
If the sender had taken out APC’s liability cover, the insurance department at APC Overnight would have actively been looking for it in the cages containing the undelivered and unclaimed freight.
Nevertheless, as APC Overnight intended to sell this lost property, they were required by law to take reasonable steps to trace back to the owner which evidently they did not.
